With spring in the air, I figured I'd get my one-a-year bike wreck done and over. And I was successful. Nothing major, just some minor road rash on my left side, an ever so slightly swollen wrist and a teensy bump on my gourd due to a slipping lock ring.
Crossing Jefferson on Cherokee I thought it best to jump the yellow light...as I stood up and forced all of my weight on my left foot to dig in, my lock ring slipped and threw me forward and down into the intersection. Worry stricken pedestrians looked on and asked Mr. P if he would buy them some rice to share. Obviously the two women were upset at what they had just seen and were looking to cope by overeating. All good though, we left them hungry, slow road back downtown, swapped out my rim/cog/lock ring and rode on to the Loop. All systems go.01 April 2013
