So the long of it short is I found out there is a difference between comprehensive and collision when it comes to an insurance deductible. One being much cheaper than the other when it comes to fixing the hood of one's Rabbit. Having already assumed I was shelling out $500 out of pocket, the money was spent in my mind. Now that I've talked to my insurance company...it looks like that $500 is now only $100...so as any logical person would do, I bought this David Fullarton piece from a San Francisco gallery to make up the difference. Whatever...you're dumb.

Money well spent... Especially when it just as easily could have went to fix the hood of your car.
