WEEKEND

Friday...I got nothing.

But Saturday...Saturday was quite the day o' culture...or something along those lines. Started of with lunch at El Scorcho with a few friends, where we somehow got on topic of wax museums...so after finishing a few gallons of margaritas we realized hey, St. Louis has a wax museum. Turns out, none of us had ever been, so we set out to change that...despite the museum o fun being down on the Landing, but lucky enough for us it was the afternoon, so douches were at a minimum. Inside Laclede's Landing Wax Museum was fantastically awesome...four floors of crap plus a basement containing "The Chamber of Horrors," a whole section of jesus' including my all time favorite...the last supper scene with dead jesus hanging right above eating jesus with one eye open and nappy chest hair, and much more. Unfortunately, none of us had a camera, so use your imagination.

After the wax extravaganza, we ventured down to the casino to validate our parking and get free fountain sodas. Score...and totally worth the walk to save the six bucks for parking. And after watching a few of the more depressing cats chain smoke and lose, we decided to venture on. On to Channel 5 for a quick studio tour...yep...pretty awesome, I know. Actually the building is like a prison other than the actual studio space where they film...which is actually nifty to see.

The fun didn't stop there...onward and upward to the Saint Louis International Film Festival for a couple of documentaries. Ended up heading over to Webster to watch [MY MOTHER'S GARDEN]...which was really good. Shot and narrated by the daughter of a mother who has a hoarding disorder...so bad it gets to the point that her house is so completely filled with trash that she sleeps outside in her garden and the only access point to her house is through a window... It was pretty cool to hear the filmmaker speak afterwards as well...and she was cute...and she was a prostitute at one time...just sayin...

So Sunday I'm bored in the morning and decide to put the crap away from a box I had in my closet from my old job...end up getting my Atari out of the box and playing Pong. Well, after beating the computer 97 million times with my exceptionally awesome Pong skill, I decide I need a harder game. So logically...I go to Best Buy and buy a Wii so I can play Wii Sports...tennis. Long story short, it hurts to lift my arm today because I am pathetic. But...I do have a Wii. My first real gaming console in I don't know how many years...Not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
