TRACKING DOWN THE HACKS WHO STOLE SHOOTPAUL.COM TO CLAIM AS THEIR OWN ORIGINAL IDEA

Creating what’s essentially a weaponized app became a collaborative endeavor between Deutsch L.A. and Think Digital, not to mention a legal minefield for lawyers at Sony. “There’s a host of things that can go wrong with an event like this, so we’ve been going through worst-case-scenario planning, thinking through everything and every last detail,” says Binch. “It’s a new precedent so you’re kind of inventing policies in many ways.”

And by weaponized app they mean stolen idea from ShootPaul.com.

Oh and by new precedent and inventing they mean squandering existing ideas from a couple of hardworking rad dudes.

Deutsch LA and Think Digital you may want to revaluate your creative teams.

Thanks to Shoot Paul Industries, Inc. private detective, Mr. M for finding this article...

Can you guys check analytics to see if you had visits from domains from any of the agencies involved?

There have been no referrals from their email system nor were there any users registered with any agency email.

If I was feeling malicious... I could bomb their twitter feed every few seconds with shoot paul jargon. I could take it over.

I could also DDOS the shit out them all day long. Especially during the finale.
