So back from Chicago...luckily, I left before it got frigid. It was an overall good trip. I know people bitch constantly about airport security, but fuck its really getting out of control. In O'Hare on my way back to STL, there was a point I was pretty sure I was going to get some sort of citation after getting yelled at by the rent-a-cops, for "unsafe actions..." directly correlating to their stupidity. Nothing came of it, but it was retarded on their part.
Saturday night, I went to see the guy 2 floors above me's band at Lemmons...I forget their name, but they're good and the pizza was delicious.
Friday, I got the confirmation that my piece was accepted into The Show of Love at the 3rd Floor Gallery, so I'll post information on that soon since the show is this Friday.
Sunday, I went to a Cracker Barrel for the first time in who knows how long...interesting to say the least. I figured out that apparently I am a horrible judge of age since I'd say the hostesses were no older than 12 and I think you have to be 16 to get a job...Chicken Fried Steak is awesome.
Over the course of the weekend, I managed to read 200 or so pages of No Country for Old Men, which took some getting use to the style of writing, but I'm really digging it. Cormac McCarthy doesn't use quotation marks or apostrophies, and he writes in runon sentences with 53 ands in them. Can't wait for the DVD to come out so I can see it...I'm just not a fan of going out to theaters for an unknown reason, but I love me some DVDs...

I quit reading that book about halfway through. His writing style pained me.
Sounds like reading a Gore Vidal novel...paragraph long sentences with a lot of 12 letter words...you have to be in the mood
